Driving a nail

Drive the nail. The loose head will interrupt the sequence: equipment becomes conspicuous within the work before any detached inspection begins.
Nail driven
Engaged use: attention is absorbed in board, nail, and next blow; the serviceable hammer withdraws in the referential whole of the task.
Deliberate inspection brackets the task to consider the hammer’s weight, shape, and material as properties. This is a separate present-at-hand stance—not the automatic meaning of every practical disturbance.
Compare illustrative generation rates. Speed can change how a tool solicits attention, but speed alone never determines readiness-to-hand: task, reliability, fit, skill, and the whole equipment-context matter.
